The list is relaxation (Swedish) massage, deep tissue, a body-and-foot combo, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, and couples massage on two tables. No facials, no scrubs, no packages built out of services nobody asked for.

The reception wall lettered SPRING MASSAGE above RELAX RESTORE RENEW, with framed certificates hung on the adjoining wall and a plant on the counter

Relax · Restore · Renew

Three words on the wall, and what they mean on the table.

Painted above the reception desk, so they had better be operational.

  1. Relax

Lights low, table warm, a sheet over you. Nothing is asked of you for the next hour.

  2. Restore

The work goes where you said it should — neck, low back, calves — at the pressure you set.

  3. Renew

You get up slowly, take some water, and leave. No add-on is offered at the desk.

New to this? Our guide to a first massage appointment walks through the hour.

How pressure is handled here

You are asked two things before the table: where it aches, and how firm you want it. Firm and painful are not the same thing — Mayo Clinic states that massage should not be painful or uncomfortable, and that you should say so if it is.

Say it during the session, not after

Lighter, more there, skip the legs — each changes the session at once, none changes the price. You stay draped throughout, which the American Massage Therapy Association calls standard practice. This is wellness, not treatment: tightness eases, usually for days rather than weeks. Worsening pain or numbness means a clinician first, and our evidence-led massage guides say where the research holds.

Licensed in Texas, and the licence is public

The framed certificates by the reception desk are not decoration. The register is public, and you may check a licence before your shoes come off.

Licensed massage therapists, and a licence you can check

Spring Massage describes its therapists as licensed massage therapists on its own booking page. In Texas that licence is issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation under Chapter 455 of the Occupations Code, which also licenses the establishment itself.

The location

On the McKinney, Prosper and Frisco seam.

The far west edge of McKinney, one block south of US-380.

Directions and parking

Spring Massage in McKinney is not on the historic square, and that is the point: you park outside suite 102 instead of circling downtown. Prosper is about 10 minutes north and Frisco about 15 south-west. Stonebridge Ranch, Adriatica Village and the Virginia Parkway corridor run about 10 to 12 minutes east; Craig Ranch about 12 to 18; the downtown square about 18 to 20; Trinity Falls about 19 to 24. Off-peak estimates from road routing, not measured times — US-380 is slow at 5.30 PM.

More on the corridor is on our North Coit Road page. Deciding tonight? Same-day and late-evening appointments explains what the calendar can promise.

What Spring Massage does not do

A studio is defined by its omissions too. Ours:

  • No gift cards. The studio publishes none; certificates sold elsewhere are unaffiliated. Call (469) 927-8441 first.
  • No membership, no packages. Nothing to join, nothing that renews, no rate that changes on visit two.
  • No upsell. You pay for the treatment and duration you booked, plus the published $2 card fee.
  • No promised walk-in. Same-day slots are often free and the booking page shows today's openings; an unreserved table is not a guarantee.
  • No star rating. We cannot verify one at source, so we print none.
